Cycling is a wonderful activity around this area. The scenic routes and fresh air made me feel like a professional cyclist, without the need for spandex! It was like being in a Le Tour de France, minus the race and the French accent.
Rustling bedding affected sleep.

Just returned from a city break in a converted bull pen and it was amazing! the place was cozy, warm, and had everything we needed. the kitchen was well equipped, which made it easy for us to cook our meals. the shower and bath were luxurious, perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking. the bed was so comfortable, we slept like logs! And can we talk about the view? Absolutely breathtaking! Eating on the terrace with views of the Welsh valley farmland and the majestic Black Mountains was a real treat. Plus, the location was ideal for exploring the beautiful Monmouthshire area and beyond.
While everything was great, there were a couple of minor downsides. It would have been nice to have more lights outside the house, especially in the evening.

We were blown away by the breathtaking view from the living room/kitchen area, and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. the villa was beautifully presented and had everything we needed for a self-catered stay. Fresh bread, Welsh cakes, and milk were provided for breakfast, and the bathroom was stunning with a luxurious rain shower and a beautiful bathtub. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the cost was very reasonable. We couldn't recommend staying here enough if you want to explore the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, and Brecon Beacons. We would definitely return.

The bathroom with a bath or shower at The Comfy Cow was fantastic! It made me feel so relaxed and pampered. As a disabled guest, having the option to choose between a bath and a shower was a game-changer for me. It really met my personal needs and preferences.
Personally, I found the bathroom with just a shower at The Comfy Cow a bit lacking. But hey, that's just my personal opinion.

We were absolutely blown away by the breathtaking views from the living room of the Comfy Cow. It was pure relaxation from the moment we arrived. The villa itself was beautifully presented and had everything we needed for a self-catered stay. The rain shower in the stunning bathroom was a treat after a long day of exploring. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. We enjoyed dining on the terrace, overlooking the picturesque Welsh valley farmland towards the Black Mountains. The location was perfect for exploring Monmouthshire and beyond. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and hassle-free. we had a fantastic week at the Comfy Cow and would highly recommend it for a rejuvenating getaway.
Although the bedding was a bit rustling, we made sure to avoid the bed corners to prevent any bruises. It would have been nice to have more lights outside the villa, and unfortunately, the fire pit was not available during our stay.
